Blind

Breakdown, think I had another one yesterday
Face down, I'm drowning in my destiny
I frown 'cause my reasons are slowly escaping me
And I'm screaming inside

This skin, it feels like it doesn't belong to me
These shoes, walked miles, but they're slipping off my feet
Face the world, or should I go back to sleep
Feels like my hands are tied

This light, though I thought it died
Was covered by the devil that I made inside
Been writing with a liar's pen
Tearing out the pages, going to start it over again

I'm at war with my own mind
I'm at war with my own mind
I'm at war with my own mind
And it's making me blind.

This town, I think it got the best of me
Shallow ground, every pound I feel is misery
Everyone else has got their reason to be
But I'd like to say I tried

Don't always have to be king of the castle
They always seem to get pushed aside
Just want to live a moment without hastle
Don't need another place to hide

This light, though I thought it died
Was covered by the devil that I made inside
Been writing with a liar's pen
Tearing out the pages, going to start it over again

I'm at war with my own mind
I'm at war with my own mind
I'm at war with my own mind
And it's making me blind.

I'm at war with my own mind
And it's making me blind.
